I decided that I wanted everything she eats as a baby to be homemade... My huge reasoning is because there is so many "extra" ingredients placed into store bought food that I just didn't wanna stress it. Now don't get me wrong I am sure I am going to have a day where its easier to buy store bought then steaming and cooking my own. I just want to be diligent about making and preparing her meals.
I decided to start simple: ground brown rice and made homemade organic carrots. She first tried the rice and seemed more interested in the texture then the taste... I don't blame her! I really was worried that the brown rice would take too much time, but it was less than five minutes! It is nice because the rice cooks so much faster ground into bits!
I am slightly obsessed with the adorable baby mason jars they make, it couldn't get any cuter :) They are so simple yet so easy to store the food and take on the go!

For some reason I don't know why because I strongly dislike carrots, I wanted that to be her first veggie! At first she seemed all in and enjoying the "slurps" of carrot puree.... then I realized that was just my imagination ;) It is seriously hilarious watching her discover her taste buds and actually quite distracting for me as I am constantly giggling. I am pretty sure she might think I am crazy, and wondering what's so funny... but I mean who couldn't?
At the end every single time she eats her food she is most excited to drink her milk! Soon enough that will change but its cute while it lasts! :)
