This weekend has been a whirlwind. We had planned to be at our friends cabin all weekend but my head cold decided otherwise. We were able to stay one night and the time spent was much needed! I love this group of friends we have, they all shine Jesus and are such great parents.
For the time we were there we ate, played in the snow, road the snowmobiles and just enjoyed the stillness.
It was incredibly exciting because Elcie loved the snowmobile, she is definitely her mothers daughter ;) we then of course had to come back home so I could rest (I'll spare you the details because there is nothing exciting about being sick).
We basically have just relaxed this entire weekend which is so nice. We are always so busy, always on the go and never just sit. So it's good to remind ourselves to be still and that's okay!
Lastly I've been prepping for Elcies first birthday party (I cannot believe I'm saying that) and I've decided to do a woodland theme since its still winter time! I spent time painting pine cones to make it look like snow and I'm so happy with the result!
I love how a pine cone has so much detail and beauty to it. God is so awesome in how he created everything so meticulously.
My plan is to do fake miss and twigs underneath all the food displays! Along with a doe on top of the cake ;) I cannot wait to share the rest of the details here soon! :)
