Maternity Clothes

Happy Monday friends! I hope you had a great weekend, we enjoyed a very relaxed weekend just us two girls! Tay went to portland with some friends so we laid low and did a few errands. I truly am learning to appreciate these last few one on one moments with my sweet girl as soon we will have another screaming child ;) We went to target for a baby shower gift and I heard a trick from a sweet friend when you have a busy toddler in the store. She mentioned buying  "treat" to keep the distracted so you can quickly get your errands done! So with that we got popcorn and Elcie was seriously in heaven. It was one of those moments that reminded me she is no longer a baby even though sometimes I wish she was.

Lately I have been looking like crazy for fall/winter fashion during pregnancy! I don't know about you but that is my absolute favorite part of pregnancy! I love dressing the bum and personally I notice my attitude towards pregnancy is better when I feel better about myself! I thought I would share a few favorites with you along with a few staple items I used with Elcie and will continue with this pregnancy!

This style was by far my favorite because I am all about showing off the bump! I love the simplicity yet it is stylish to wear for a nicer occasion. Plus it gets me extra excited for cold weather ;)

To me this is the perfect outfit for second trimester when the bump still is not large and you just need something cozy! I love boots with knee socks, and of course cardigans are always a great decision.

This one was similar to the first photo because I love the body con style dress, but I also really love the jean jacket for a twist instead of a cardigan.

I am really excited to attempt this style because its not the typical maternity style! I have seen shirts tied like this with a tule skirt as well but I don't think I am brave enough for the tule ;)

One of my favorite items for pregnancy and this is more in the beginning because these shirts don't exactly fit 30 weeks plus! But target has just their plain tee shirts and they always have a great deal but it was such an easy top that you can mix with scarves, jewelry etc. But the awesome part is these shirts show off the little growing bump! Target Tee Shirts

Another item that I wore all the way until the end is a belly band to cover up my zipper. I did the rubber band trick for my zipper but that didn't last long because the more my belly grew the wider my zipper was open even with the rubber band. I love the bands because it looks like a regular tank top underneath. I am wearing my grey band in my "18 weeks" photo above :) Belly Band

Lastly is maternity jeans... I cannot express this enough, if you are contemplating buying maternity jeans DO IT. I waited until I was 9 months pregnant because I was trying to not spend too much on clothes and I still regret it! I already have purchased four pairs for this pregnancy because they are so much comfier then squeezing into your pre-pregnancy pants. It is seriously worth every single penny. I always buy my pants from H&M because they are affordable and don't like maternity jeans.. and if I am being completely honest I wore them after having Elcie because they are seriously that comfy! H&M Maternity Jeans

Alright friends that is all I have right now, I would love to hear your tips and tricks and fashion advice ;)
