Abba

That simple word momma. In the early morning when your babe wants to play. In the midst of a fit when she wants your attention. That sweet word momma. Nothing, truly nothing sounds better than hearing your little one say momma.

I was rocking my sweet babe to sleep when she had just been throwing a fit. In the still silence she looked up and said momma. It's at the moment that hit me how our father must feel when we call on him. When we cry abba. Or pray lord Jesus. When we are thanking him for a blessing he has poured into our lives. When we are mad and crying out to him. Our father loves us so dearly. We love our children so dearly.

It's through Elcie I see Jesus so much deeper. It's through her I see gods grace and forgiveness.

It's helped to put into perspective how much Elcie needs me, and she knows she needs me. This to is the need I have for Jesus. I think I can do things my way, but I cannot. Jesus knows my path I need to take and he will guide me as long as I seek him first.

Friends we need Jesus. We needed him when we were little and we need him now even more.

Are you crying out to Jesus like a baby cries out for her momma?

“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.”

People are human

I truly am learning the older I get that people are human. People make mistakes. People say mean things. People don't follow through. People disappoint. But Jesus, Jesus is constant. He loves us so deeply. He died on the cross for our sin, for all our mistakes. He will never disappoint or not stick to his word. Jesus is good. I am so thankful that my father is there all the time. He is there when I'm aching and he is there when I am jumping for joy.
How great is it to remember this? It makes my heart happy to focus on the cross when dealing with people. I am thankful that my lord helps give me the strength to forgive and to love. He helps me remember that he is not done with me or done with those around me. He reminds me that I need to forgive people just as much as he forgives me. Our God is good, and I am so thankful for that!
Forgive and let go.

“I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
Psalm 16:8
