Abba

That simple word momma. In the early morning when your babe wants to play. In the midst of a fit when she wants your attention. That sweet word momma. Nothing, truly nothing sounds better than hearing your little one say momma.

I was rocking my sweet babe to sleep when she had just been throwing a fit. In the still silence she looked up and said momma. It's at the moment that hit me how our father must feel when we call on him. When we cry abba. Or pray lord Jesus. When we are thanking him for a blessing he has poured into our lives. When we are mad and crying out to him. Our father loves us so dearly. We love our children so dearly.

It's through Elcie I see Jesus so much deeper. It's through her I see gods grace and forgiveness.

It's helped to put into perspective how much Elcie needs me, and she knows she needs me. This to is the need I have for Jesus. I think I can do things my way, but I cannot. Jesus knows my path I need to take and he will guide me as long as I seek him first.

Friends we need Jesus. We needed him when we were little and we need him now even more.

Are you crying out to Jesus like a baby cries out for her momma?

“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.”
1 John 4:9

Today I Choose Love

You know those days where you are just irritable? Where you feel like nothing is going to go right?
Those my friends, are my least favorite... and I am pretty sure your least favorite as well.
Those are the days where I just feel like everyone is doing wrong against me, and I am just going to have a sour attitude ALL day. That sour attitude though is my choice and yours too. That feeling of frustration and annoyance is our choice as well. So today, today I choose love.

choose love when I feel like yelling.

I choose love when I feel helpless

I choose love when I myself don't deserve it.

This is why...Christ loves me, loves you, in our deepest darkest hours.

He chooses us when we are mean, angry and bitter.

He chooses us when we slip up then run to him for forgiveness.

HE CHOOSES YOU

So today my friends choose love.
And remember most importantly the people in our lives that love us too.
"We love him, because he first loved us" 1 John 4:19
